Melesta is a 1994 Dutch
Warmblood mare (purchased as a broodmare, originally imported
from Holland) registered KWPN-NA. Also approved BWP and RPSI. Has had one foal last year by Balta C'zar.
Melesta competed
to Novice level, doing very well, before an old injury from when
she was a foal (and was not properly treated), stopped her
career short. She had surgery on her circumficial ligament (which
had enlarged to 3x normal size) to take pressure off the tendon
which was severely bowed and torn, however, she was unable to compete in eventing any more.
Due to constant tearing and healing while competeing, too much scar
tissue formed causing off and on lameness. Melesta has magnificent
movement, scoring extremely high at her inspections. She also loved
to jump which she did so magnificently. She is impeccably bred and
should prove a wonderful asset to our breeding program.
Melesta is by Hemmingway, an exceptional Holsteiner stallion who has
produced many winning offspring in both dressage and jumpers. He is
by Leandro (KWPN) who won the 1997 Nation Championships for young
jumping horses in the 5yo division. A son of Hemmingway, Prince
owned by DG Bar Breeders was awarded the star predicate at the 2002
KWPN-NA keuring with his impressive canter and outstanding trot.
Leandro is a son of the great Landgraf I. Hemmingway's dam produced
3 international show jumpers in a row. She is by Romantiker who is
by the "stallion of the century", G. Ramiro Z. Melesta's dam line is
just as impressive, boasting reknowned greats as Ufarno, Farn
and Nimmerdor! These bloodlines are known for bestowing on their
descendants, power and ability. Melesta foaled a stunning colt in
2007. He is being kept as a stallion prospect by his new owner. She
foaled a Premium KWPN colt by Rousseau in 2008.
Melesta is open for 2008 and will be bred to
Idocus spring 2009. Melesta had a gorgeous filly by Idocus which is
sold.

Saretta was unable to compete herself due to a
severe pasture injury in which she broke her coffin bone.
However, her wonderful scores at breed approvals showed her
potential. Saretta is by the Dutch sensation Olympic Ferro.
Olympic Ferro competed in the 2000 olympics earning a silver medal
with his team. He again received the highest scores on the
2002 Dutch Olympic team. Olympic Ferro, champion of his
performance test, in Germany, scored an 8.5 at the trot, 8.0 for
ridability, and 8.5 for jumping. In addition to producing
dressage excellence, Olympic Ferro offspring also make spectacular
jumpers. Saretta is out of the Star mare Edorette who has
produced many dressage winning offspring. Edorette is by
Maxamillian Saluut, a Holsteiner stallion who was an International
Grand Prix jumper. Saluut also received excellent marks in his Dutch
Performance test and was graded at the highest level. It is widely
acknowledged that Saluut would also have been equally successful as
a dressage horse.
Saretta had a beautiful colt by

great Le Santo, who consistently stamps his foals with his powerful
movement, extraordinary athletic ability, outstanding jump, and
remarkable disposition. Producer of top competitors, in Grand Prix
jumpers, hunters, equitation, driving, and dressage. Le Santo
received 51 Bonits including a "9" for type. He received the highest

successful career as a jumper, at 13 he began his dressage career.
In under22 months he was winning at 4th Level, continuing onto

"Lucy" an extremely
well bred thoroughbred for sport. She is by the well known TB stallion Epic
Win (winner at advanced level Eventing, deceased) out of a Rock
Talk mare. Epic Win was an International **CCI 3-day Event
Winner with an exceptional temperament and an outstanding brilliant
mover. He also won the 2 star Bromont Event for his
rider/owner Denny Emerson. Epic Win sired several upper level event
horses. Epic Believer has a lovely temperament to match her correct conformation.
She is listed in the Main Mare Hanoverian book having scored very well
at her inspection. She routinely gets fantastic remarks at the Hanoverian
inspections she attends with her foals. Her Scimitar filly was sold to a Hunter show home
as a 4yo, we look forward to following her career. Her Bugatti filly was quite
impressive at her inspection and continues to wow those who see
her. Look for her and her new owner at breed shows and now under
saddle.
"Lucy" had an exceptional Contucci filly in 2006 who won the
open 2006 fillies and the AHS 2yo and under class at Fairhill
Dressage Breed Show. This mare comes from a long line of athletes who pass on their
talents.

Mare Book I
She is a stakes winning
1998 great granddaughter of Secretariat and looks just like him, with beautiful uphill conformation.
This mare shows incredible athletic talent despite the fact that
she is only pasture sound due to racing injuries. She has produced very athletic individuals with a great deal of jumping talent
as well as beautiful movement. Frank has produced 3 winners at
Devon with her first colt LJS Red Deco cleaning up in both hunters
and dressage! This mare is a mare of a lifetime, always producing
better than herself (which is saying something). "Frank's" foals have been wonderful
to date with many in-hand wins at Breeding shows and look for
many wins under saddle to come from her spectacular colt
LJS Red Deco.Red Deco was #1 USEF Hunter
In-Hand PA Bred 2007 and currently is leading the Green Hunter PA
Bred for 2008. Her 2005 colt by Happy Hour won his RPSI class at
Dressage at Devon in 2005. She then had a wonderful filly by Art
Deco that won the open filly class and her RPSI class at Fairhill
Dressage and then went on to win the RPSI class at Dressage at Devon
2006. Frank foaled a gorgeous
chestnut filly 3/22/07 by Prince Optimus! Sad news, we lost our
beautiful Peppermint Patty due to a freak stall accident.
"Frank's" 2008 colt by Cor Noir went Premium at
his inspection and was 2nd in his RPSI class at Fairhill Dressage
Breed Show 2008. We believe he is destined for the hunter/jumper
ring but would do equally well in dressage. He has received very high marks for his conformation.
All of her foals that went
to inspections have received Premiums! This mare had DAD winners
2 years in a row!

very high in the dressage ring, which is not surprising
considering his high dressage index! He also took the
championship in Warendorf during his performance test. Kroniek
has fantastic hard to find

through Prix St. Georges with fantastic scores. She earned
numerous 70's and was ridden and owned by Cynthis Mattern, a

Approved Knabstrupper
Labet has won a World
Championship, ROM and Superior Event Awards for dressage, open
jumping and hunter under saddle. This mare has done it all in
both "open" classes as well as ApHC. She excells in open jumping and
4ft was easy for her, but also had the beautiful dressage movement
and competed through second level. She also competed in hunters in the ApHC breed shows
and has pages of show wins in her records. At the age of 23 she was approved through RPSI and
placed into the Main Mare book for Knabstruppers. This is a huge
honor, since the Knabstrupper is a very rare breed and approval in
their books is done through a very strict inspection process. Knabstruppers are
a very rare breed that carry the LP gene as do the Appaloosa, but
they are very seperate breeds it was a great honor to be approved
for breeding here in the U.S. The Knabstrupper is a spotted
warmblood with ancient baroque lines. Labet is currently retired.
* Labet had a beautiful black filly by Apollon,
she is not for sale and will be shown and hopefully join our broodmares
someday.
Labet
foaled a beautiful solid dark bay Knabstrupper colt by Atlantis May
