We take great pride in fostering a great customer relationship that begins the second we meet and continues long after a LJS foal leaves the farm for a bright career with a new partner!

I was introduced to Marie and LJS through a friend that had bought an LJS yearling. For several years, I helped out around the farm and learned a great deal about Marie’s breeding program, philosophy, and handling/training youngsters. I was continually impressed with all of the foals’ capabilities, enthusiasm, and temperaments. At that point, I decided to do a custom breeding using my favorite LJS mare, Saretta Ster!

Marie was there every step of process, listening to what I was hoping to breed, making suggestions as to what bloodlines would cross well with Saretta, and what I could expect out of each pairing. After much discussion, we settled on Bugatti Hilltop.

My goal in the custom breeding was to get a foal that would have high rideability and temperament, superior athleticism and push from behind, as well as the durability for a long career. Although Dressage is my discipline of choice, and I hoped my foal would be my upper-level Dressage partner, I fully agreed with Marie’s practice of blending jumper bloodlines with the old Dressage foundations in effort to produce a more athletic foal.

In April 2014, my filly Beretta LJS was born! From the second she hit the ground, I knew that “Etta” was everything I’d hoped she’d be! She earned excellent remarks at her AHS inspection, displays wonderfully powerful and balanced movement, and most importantly – has an eagerness to learn and please! Marie has been there to guide us through ground, trailer, and barn manner training. She is a patient and highly knowledgeable teacher.

I would highly recommend using Marie’s services for Breeding Consultations, whether you are breeding one of her mares as a custom breeding, or would like her guidance in selecting the proper stud for your mares.
